The crimes of the Turkish occupation army are increasing day after day against the indigenous people in the city of Afrin as part of the demographic change plan for the region, so their suffering aggravates and more and more painful stories are narrated, one of them is the story of (S, B), who preferred to be anonymous as he still has relatives in the occupied areas.

He was arrested 6 times and tortured in various brutal ways

(S, B) was subjected to the worst forms of torture during his detention by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation army in the occupied canton of Afrin, where he found himself kidnapped by a faction and tortured every month, and his charge is always ready "dealing with the Autonomous Administration."

(S, B) says in this regard: "We stayed on our land and in our home in Afrin to preserve our property, but I was subjected to a lot of psychological and physical torture. I was arrested 6 times on charges of dealing with Autonomous Administration. Every Kurd who resides in Afrin if kidnapped by the mercenaries, the charge will be Autonomous Administration!

(S, B) added, "series of my arrest began with the mercenaries of the Hamzat division and then several other mercenary factions, to end with the political branch of the civil police of the mercenaries after my arrest by 6 mercenary factions, with a break between each arrest and another about a month, i.e. I was locked up in their prisons for about six months where I was subjected to brutal torture."

Among the barbaric methods that the mercenaries used to torture citizen (S, B), according to his statements, are enchaining and lifting them with “electric chains hoists”, electrocution, pulling nails, stripping them of clothes and urinating on them, tying their genitals with a rope and tightening them.

You pay ransom or will be tortured at occupation prisons

(S, B) confirms that he paid a mercenary faction with more than 1,000 TL when he was arrested by the so-called mercenary civil police, and he was required to pay 1,500 TL, and in the event of failure to pay, his fate will be rotting in prisons and torture methods will increase against him.

He also noted that if you accept to work for them as an informant against the people of your village, and work to give them information to kidnap the people, you will be acquitted of all charges against you, and he says in this matter, "If you sell your principles and become an agent to them, they will let you alone, and you will be asked for ransom, this is the reward of being an agent against his fellow citizens

The living situation deteriorated more

When asked about the living conditions of the people of Afrin, he pointed out to our agency correspondents that the percentage of the people below the poverty line increased significantly because the mercenaries’ looting, and “would not spare anything in the city" as he put it.

The price of a bundle of bread reached 1,000 Syrian pounds, and although the city of Afrin is an agricultural city, the price of vegetables is beyond imagination, as the price of a kilogram of tomatoes is one thousand Syrian pounds.

During his speech, he referred to one issue he encountered in the streets of Afrin, saying, "We were walking in front of Shalal falafel restaurant when we saw an old person-with tearful eyes-digging in the garbage and eating the crumbs of the remaining food. We did not witness anything like this before the occupation of Afrin, but after its occupation it has become a daily scene that makes you "Feel shy about your living reality"

Syrians are killed with cold blood on the border

(S, B) says during his speech that two families from his village decided to go to Turkey, to migrate to Europe to escape the mercenaries’ evilness and search for a better life, but on the Turkish-Syrian border, the gendarmerie opened fire at them on 16 June.

Shooting live bullets of the two families resulted in four-year-old child's death, the death of a fetus in his mother's womb, and the injury of 4 people whose condition is described as critical, where one of them was hit in the head, and the rest were chest and abdominal injuries, and among the wounded were Jamil Khalqallah and Shayar Khalaqallah and they are cousins.

The citizen (S, B) ended his speech noting that the phenomenon of children carrying weapons has spread widely in Afrin recently, where they are massively recruited for sums of money that the Turkish occupation army provides to send them to Libya.
