The Autonomous Administration of Afrin canton issued a written statement concerning the Turkish attack on the village of Hallinj in Kobanj canton that killed 3 women activists.

The statement said:

"It seems that the countries, especially the great ones, do not learn lessons from history to prevent the repetition of the tragic aspect of it, the fascist dictatorships of the twentieth century that brought the woes to the world starting from Hitler, Milosevic and Saddam Hussein. The people who caused the great wars and massacres, and their psychological and social effects continue, and what happened was the result of the wrong interests and calculations of the great countries.

Today, Erdoğan’s Turkish Justice and Development Government is replicating the same experience, especially in the last ten years, since the beginning of what has been called the selling of peoples. It intervened badly in the Syrian crisis, deepened the Syrian conflict, supported terrorist factions from financing and training and targeted the Kurds who fought terrorism on behalf of the world led by the People's and Women's Protection Units (YPG, YPJ) starting from the resistance fortress of Kobani, which witnessed the first crackdown on ISIS.

The daily violations committed by the Turkish state and its mercenaries have risen to war crimes against our people in Afrin, especially women, and take advantage of the humanitarian situation of the Syrian people from the crisis of Corona and Caesar law, and expand their violations, as they targeted Kurdish activists, as happened in Kobani on June 23/2020, another episode of the series of her crimes against the Kurdish woman who led the community and faced and defeated ISIS in its capital.

All this is taking place amid international silence of organizations and countries, contrary to their moral and legal obligation.

We in the Autonomous Administration of Afrin region condemn the silence of international organizations and countries, especially America and Russia, regarding the war crimes committed by Turkey against Kurdish women, and we call on them to intervene directly and stop the violations of the Turkish state against the Kurds.

We also call on the international civil society to increase solidarity with the Kurdish people and their just cause, and to expose the violations and war crimes committed by the Turkish state against our people in Afrin and Kobani.

We call on our people to further resistance and struggle until the liberation of all Syrian lands from the Turkish occupation. "
