Ocalan called for Kurdish unity

The Century Law Office announced that the leader Abdullah Ocalan and their other clients held in Imrali Prison had today a phone call with their families.

The Century Law Office made clear that their clients Abdullah Ocalan, Omer Khairy Konar, Hamili Yildirim and Faisal Aktash who are detained at the Tîpa F section of Imrali Prison had telephone calls with their families.

The Human Rights Office said in its statement: "The families of our clients held on Imrali island; Abdullah Ocalan, Omer Khairy Konar, Hamili Yildirim and Faisal Aktash said that they contacted them from their place today 04-07-2020."

The families who contacted their children revealed that their health status is good, and this is what they confirmed during the phone calls.

Ali Konar, the brother of the detainee Omer Khairy Konar explained that his sister spoke with Omer for a short time, and said: "Only his questions were about the family's condition, and he confirmed that his health status is good."

Konar indicated that it was the first time that his brother has spoken to them by phone since his arrest.

While the family of the detainee Hamili Yildirim continued for about 20 minutes with him, confirmed that their health status is good, and added that the families can make phone calls with them again.

Ocalan called for the Kurdish unity

The brother of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, Mohammed Ocalan, with whom he spoke by phone said: "Yesterday, they informed us that today at 13:00, we must come to the Public Prosecution in Ruha, and on this basis we went there, and contacted the detainees via phone. The connection was interrupted once, then, we started talking again, and this lasted between 20-25 minutes.

Mohammed Ocalan noted that the leader assured him that his health status is good, and that they had no case of the disease, in an indication to the Corona virus, but cases are likely to emerge.

Mohammed also added that most of his talk was about the situation of Başûr (South Kurdistan) and called for the Kurdish unity.
