The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries continue to their violation against the nature in Afrin, and to seize and destroy the property of its people.

on Monday, they cut down 200 forest trees in the villages of Gozi and Gundi Mazen, which is affiliated to the city center of Afrin, for the purpose of trading firewood and selling it in the markets of the occupied areas and Turkey.

A source inside Afrin confirmed to Hawar Agency that "mercenary groups have started uprooting trees including cypress, pine and sumac."

According to the source, the mercenaries have so far cut down about 200 trees in the villages of Gozi and Gundi Mazen, adding that uprooting process continues until today.

It is worth mentioning that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries cut down more than 225 thousand olive trees, more than 300 thousand perennial trees, and about 10 thousand oak trees, and burned about 11 thousand hectares of agricultural land in Afrin since its occupation in March 2018.
