Sherawa district residents condemn Turkish occupation against civilians

Sherawa District Council in Afrin canton organized a gathering in Al-Awda camp, in which dozens of families, members of councils and civil institutions participated, to condemn the indiscriminate shelling on the district’s villages by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries.

During the gathering, the statement issued by the people in this regard was read by a member of the Sherawa Council Avin Oso.

The statement denounced the inhuman practices of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, and said: These practices are a "flagrant violation of international laws, agreements and treaties," and noted that they amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The statement added: " Sherawa and Shahba areas are bombed continuously, systematically and indiscriminately in order to force civilians to be forced to displace, and to empty the area of ​​its people to achieve its plan for demographic change, which led to dozens of dead and wounded, including women, children and the elderly."

In their statement, the people affirmed that they are rightful owners and will defend their land and dignity.

At the end of their statement, the people of Sherawa also appealed to all human rights, humanitarian and civil organizations and the United Nations, and all member states of these organizations to carry out their humanitarian, moral and legal duty towards our people and all peoples of the region, and to force the Turkish occupation to withdraw immediately and urgently from all our lands, and to hold the Turkish occupation accountable to all The crimes he committed against the Syrian people in general, and the Kurds in particular, and ensuring the return of the displaced to their homes in Afrin.
