Russian-Turkish patrols return to N. Syria

After two disappointments, which reflected the reality of Russian-Turkish differences, the joint patrols between the Russian police and the Turkish occupation army returned today, on Monday, February 17 in the countryside of Darbasiyyah and Zarkan.

Today, the joint patrol between the Russian and Turkish police took place in Darbasiyyah district in Hasaka canton, in northern Syria, and set out from Sherk village, 13 km west of Darbasiyyah district, and headed towards the village of Kesra in the district of Zarkan.

The patrol, which Turkey has refrained from joining with the Russian side twice, due to the tension in Idlib, was accompanied by two helicopters belonging to the Russian forces.

The patrol toured in each of the villages of "Ibrahimia, Haliwa, Faqira and Aradi", to return to its starting point in the village of Sherk, west of Darbasiyyah district, and the Turkish occupation forces entered the Turkish territories and the Russian patrol returned towards the city of Qamishlo.
