The area witnessed, at dawn today, heavy artillery shelling by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation, as a result of which the citizen Ali Mulla, who is 65 years old resident of the village of Akiba, martyred, the village is related to to Sherawa district in Afrin canton.

The artillery of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries stationed in the occupied areas of Afrin, Azaz and Marea, shelled the villages of Sherawa district and Shahba district with more than 70 shells, which resulted in material damage to the property of civilians, and the destruction of several houses in the village of Akiba, which belongs to Sherawa district.

Hawar Agency correspondent reached the village to investigate the conditions of the people in Sherawa district, and the people of Afrin who live in the village of "Akiba".

Abdullah Hafiz, a resident of the occupied canton of Afrin, confirmed that artillery shelling by the Turkish occupation and mercenaries began from dawn hours, which led to the destruction of several houses and material losses in the property, as their house was particularly damaged.

Hafiz said: "The Turkish occupation targets civilians in an attempt to empty the village, so that it can occupy it, as it did in Afrin previously."

Hafez noted that one of the shells hit the wall of a room in his house where he was sleeping, and thanks to God Almighty he narrowly escaped death, so that the losses in his house were physical.

Hafiz added, "The Turkish occupation forced us from our homes, and forced us to flee to Al-Shahba district and the villages of Sherawa district, and not only that, but rather repeatedly tries to displace civilians from the villages of Sherawa as well."

In turn, the citizen Ahmed Suleiman, who is a resident of Sherawa district, denounced the continued attacks by the Turkish occupation and terrorist groups in the area.

He said: "The shelling here does not subside. Three days ago, the Turkish artillery resumed shelling the villages of Sherawa district, and a large number of houses were destroyed, especially the house of Ali Mulla, but the second time when his house was shelled, he was hit and martyred instantly."

Suleiman stressed that the Turkish occupation and for two years has been continuing violations against the people of Sherawa district and its villages, from bombing and burning forest forests, in addition to building a wall that separates Sherawa from the occupied Afrin canton.

For its part, the citizen Shiraz Haj Othman said: "We are being shelled continuously, and this is not the first time that the village of Beina has been subjected to Turkish shelling."

Shiraz Othman denounced the silence of the international community and international organizations regarding the Turkish attacks and targeting civilians by saying: "We condemn these ongoing attacks, and we urge the state organizations to intervene to pressure Turkey to stop these violations and target the displaced civilians in the village of al-Shahba canton as well as Sherawa villages.”
