Kongra Star in Lebanon marks 14th anniversary of Viyan Soran martyrdom

Kongra Star in Beirut commemorated the struggle of Viyan Soran in the 14th anniversary of the implementation of her guerrilla operation, which she carried out in denunciation of arresting the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Dozens of female members of Kongra Star met alongside the Kurdish community in Nowruz, the social and cultural association, in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The meeting started with a minute of silence, then Jihan Muhammad Ibrahim, a member of Kongra Star, gave a speech in which she recalled the struggler Viyan Soran and the martyrs of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement.

She continued: "The history of the Kurdish people is full of sacrifices, as well as the struggle Fiyan, who set fire to her body to raise the pace of the struggle and demand the rights and just cause of the Kurdish people."

Then the message of the martyr Viyan Soran was read by the president of the Nowruz Cultural and Social Association, Hanan Othman, and stated that Viyan represented the reality of the Kurdish woman who rejected injustice and protested against violations against the Kurdish people.

The meeting ended with slogans that glorify the martyrs and salute leader Abdullah Ocalan.
