This is the second group of displaced persons, as the first one included 21 families who came to the regions of northern and eastern Syria to escape the battles and shelling witnessed in their areas recently.

Idlib people headed towards the north and east of Syria after the initiative announced by the Syrian Democratic Forces’ Command, which confirmed its willingness to receive Idlib people displacing from the war taking place there as a result of the Turkish-Russian agreements that led to the expansion of the regime domination and the displacement of Idlib people.

The forces of the Democratic North Brigade in the ranks of the Syrian Democratic Forces received the second batch of Idlib displaced after the pre-coordination took place with them, and the coordinators to receive the civilians confirmed that the Turkish occupation mercenaries are arresting some young men wishing to enter the areas of northern and eastern Syria.

Our agency monitored passing dozens of Idlib residents through  Awn al-Dadat crossing, and interviewed some of the arrivals, including the young man Hisham Ayfan from Ma’ret al-Numan who explained that his town is witnessing a state of displacement after the warplane shelling, and he described the situation of Idlib in general as a tragic situation.

Afyan thanked the Syrian Democratic Forces for receiving the people of Idlib, and called for Idlib people to come to the northern and eastern regions of Syria where security and safety are witnessed.

Hakim al-Dibo from Ma’ret al-Numan spoke about the same matter, describing the state of the region as witnessing the bombing, destruction, and displacement of its people, and described the expansion of the regime’s control at the expense of the opposition factions as swift, saying: “We do not know what is happening.”

Al-Dibo emphasized that their displacement came to search for security and safety, and this goal brought them to the northern and eastern regions of Syria, which he described as the best Syrian regions in terms of security and safety, and in turn, he thanked SDF for receiving them.

He pointed out that their way to Manbij city was not easy, as the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation are trying to prevent them from reaching  Awn al-Dadat crossing, while preventing them from entering the Turkish territories as well.

Al-Dibo called on the people of Idlib city to come to the regions of northern and eastern Syria and not be drawn into rumors that are trying to damage the image of the Syrian Democratic Forces, stressing that the regions of northern and eastern Syria are safe, and that Syrian Democratic Forces and the revolutionary forces within their ranks welcome Idlib people and cooperate with them to reach the region.

Hakim al-Dibo pointed out that the initiative of the Syrian Democratic Forces to receive Idlib people created hope, and formed a path to escape distress threatening Idlib people.

It is worth mentioning that the Syrian Democratic Forces undertook to secure the needs of Idlib displaced to fulfill their duty towards them, as they are Syrian citizens.
