Dummer: Isolation not only targets Ocalan but all Kurdish people

The Turkish state continues to violate the lowest human rights standards and international conventions that relate to political detainees, imposing isolation on leader Abdullah Ocalan, and preventing him from meeting with his family and lawyers.

The Kurdish street has witnessed mass revolts denouncing this isolation since 2015, which prompted the Turkish state to justify its position in front of international public opinion and allow some meetings between the leader and his lawyer mid-last year, but recently returned to prevent Ocalan's lawyer from reaching him, or allow his family to meet him.

In this context, the co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement TEV-DEM in the Euphrates region, Abdul Rahman Dummer, said in an interview conducted by ANHA's correspondents: "The Turkish state is working to isolate the Kurdish people from political solutions, and depriving them of their rights, therefore it imposes isolation on the leader Abdullah Ocalan because he reached the right opinion in solving the Middle East crisis. "

Abdul Rahman added: "The leader had the greatest role in lighting the path of freedom for the peoples, through his thought and the projects he put forward, such as the democratic nation that contained all components of the region and not only the Kurdish people."

Dummer pointed out that the demonstrations that took place against the isolation of the leader, put Turkey in front of an internationally embarrassing position, due to these demonstrations allowed limited meetings to take place, and these meetings that were held with him were the cause of much change in the region.

He explained that Ocalan "is the author of thought and decision, and he has hundreds of books, not to mention the political skill that he enjoys, and this is what the parties that reject freedom of peoples and aspirations fear, but now:" We believe that the people will not remain silent in the face of this isolation imposed on the Kurdish people by its leader. "

Regarding the solution in the Middle East, where tensions have escalated recently, Abdul Rahman Dummer said, "The Middle East suffers from a lot of confusion and security chaos, and this is what makes it in front of the brink of collapse, and there are many examples like Syria and Libya, as is the chaos that occurs in Turkey, from political splits from the ruling parties to arrests. "

He added, "Nationalist states that depend on selfishness under the slogan of one color, one religion, one flag, and one party have mostly collapsed due to people's lack of tolerance of these regimes."
