On Saturday, the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades called on the security services in the country to move away from the American bases for a distance of no less than 1,000 meters, starting from the evening of Sunday, January 5th in what appears to be a threat to respond to the recent American raids.

A statement issued by the Brigades said, “The brothers in the Iraqi security services must get away from the American enemy’s bases for a distance of no less than 1,000 meters, starting from Sunday evening.”

That came hours after missile shells landed in the vicinity of the US embassy in Baghdad and al-Balad Air Base which houses American forces.

These developments come after the assassination of the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Body, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandes, and the commander of al-Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani, at dawn on Friday by American missile bombing on their vehicle near Baghdad International Airport.
