PYD congratulates National Union on success of its 4th conference

The works of the fourth conference of the Kurdistan National Union were held in the city of Sulaymaniyah in Başûr Kurdistan on December 21, and resulted in the election of the Supreme Political Council of the Union and the selection of leadership members in it.

On the occasion of the success of the conference, the co-chairs of the Democratic Union Party, Shahouz Hassan and Aisha Hasso, sent a message of congratulations to the Union members and leaders.

The text of the telegram says:

Ladies and gentlemen, in the leadership of the Kurdistan National Union

Your conference came at a stage in which the Middle East region in general and Kurdistan in particular are witnessing fateful developments. There is a re-sharing of spheres of influence by global hegemonic powers, just as there are regional expansionist ambitions, some of which aim to exterminate the Kurdish people by various malicious ways and means.

We see that the rapprochement and coordination between our party and Kurdistan National Union have achieved great gains for our Kurdish people, since the days of Khalid Jalal Talabani to this day, thanks to this political skill on his part, we have not seen any conflicting position between our parties, we did not consider Kurdistan National Union that it belongs to the south only on any given day, did we find it at our side and in one ditch always, whether in Kurdish internal politics or foreign policy, and international socialism is a perfect example of this.

We at the Democratic Union Party (PYD) congratulate you on the success of your 4^th conference, for your success is ours, and the decisions that you have taken and you will make are important to us just as they matter to you because of their importance in Kurdish politics and regional and international politics. We look forward to more cooperation and coordination between the two parties in Kurdish politics locally, regionally and internationally, as we are confident that this will achieve historical gains for our people in a way appropriate to the struggle of our two parties.
