The Syrian Democratic Council held a dialogue forum on Saturday in the Sheikh Maksoud neighborhood in Aleppo to discuss the political developments and the ways to enhance the Syrian-Syrian dialogue.

The symposium was attended by representatives of the Syrian Democratic National Alliance, the Democratic Union Party, the Future Syria Party, the Syrian Communist Party, the Renaissance and Change Party, the Syrian Democratic Party, the Syrian Social National Party, and representatives of the civil institutions, in addition to an independent political figure and intellectuals from Aleppo governorate.

The symposium started with holding a minute of silence, after which the Deputy Head of the Executive Board of the Syrian Democratic Council, Nujeen Youssef, delivered a speech in which she talked about the overall political situations in the region, the goals of the countries that interfered in the Syrian crisis, and the efforts to divide Syria.

Nujeen Youssef also spoke about the negotiations between the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian regime, and confirmed that the regime had not initiated to promote discussions to reach a Syrian-Syrian solution, as well as the risks posed to Syria due to the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its endeavors to divide Syria.

Then, the dialogue opened among the participants in the symposium, as they agreed that the international and regional powers that had interfered in the Syrian crisis sought to achieve their interests. They also stressed the necessity for the Syrian people’s unification against the external interference.

The participants also noted the importance of such dialogues to reach common visions about the future of Syria.

The opinions also stressed the importance of strengthening the national identity away from exclusion.

The gathered praised the Syrian democratic project as a suitable and acceptable solution to all Syrians.

At the end of the symposium, the Deputy Head of the Syrian Democratic Council, Nujeen Youssef, answered the participants' questions on various issues related to promoting the Syrian-Syrian dialogue.
