QAMISHLO- AHMED SAMIR

The city of Qamishlo in north-eastern Syria witnessed a series of successive explosions on the 11th of last November, the first of which was through booby tapped vehicle parked at the intersection of al- Wahda Street with the main street in the center of Qamishlo city, and another by a motorcycle bomb beside al-Qadisiyah Girls High School, the victims of the two explosions were 5 martyrs and more of 41 wounded.

For its part, the Internal Security Forces in NE, Syria said, through an official statement, two days after the attack, that they were able to arrest the perpetrators of that operation, and that the process of reaching the remaining elements of the cell is ongoing, while it has not fully disclosed the details of the incident.

To follow up on the details of this incident and from the parties, which caused this incident, and its reasons, our agency, "Hawar agency news", managed to obtain security approval that allowed it to meet with the cell elements who were arrested, and to obtain their confessions on the background of the bombing.

The cell that targeted the city of Qamishlo, the number and names of its members

The cell that caused Qamishlo's bombing, known as the bombing of al-Wahda Road, is called the "Abu Mohammad Iraqi cell", the cell consists of 4 elements, and they are "Abu Muhammad al-Iraqi, Ahmed Jassim al-Mustafa, Uday Radi al-Abbas, Ammar Jassem al-Ahmad," among them responsible for the bombing, others are responsible for passing of the booby trapped vehicles.

Source of instructions and the reasons for targeting Qamishlo city

Abu Mohammad al-Iraqi cell elements receive instructions directly from a Turkish person known as Abu Hassan al-Turki, who is responsible for recruiting elements into cells within the regions of NE, Syria, and the source of instructions to carry out operations through Abu Mohammad al-Iraqi, and the reasons for targeting the city of Qamishlo at this time are exactly according to The cell’s confessions, to destabilize the security and stability of the main cities in the region, by causing as many civilians as possible.

Plan the detonation process and the mechanism for bringing in the operation tools

Planning for the operation started with the launch of the attack by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries on the north and east areas of Syria on October 9 of this year, where the elements of the cell initially brought two motorcycles and a silver-colored Mercedes from the southern villages of Tirbespiyê district to the city Qamishlo, using dirt roads and agricultural lands, and they booby-trapped in Syriac neighborhood, south of the city.

What areas were targeted?

The cell elements initially selected the eastern part of the city market, specifically Sony roundabout known in the city to park booby trapped vehicle, and because the members of the city’s traffic forces prevented the car in the roundabout, the location of the targeting was changed, so that al-Omri restaurant was selected to detonate the booby trapped vehicle, but there was no large gathering of civilians, the intersection of al-Wahda Street with the main road in Qamishlo city center has been identified for the car bombing, while al-Qadisiyah Girls School has been identified as a site to detonate motorcycles.

The bombing operation that was already planned took place through the detonation of the silver Mercedes car and a motorcycle north of al Qadisiyah Girls' High School, while the ISF managed to dismantle the second motorcycle, after the bombings and during investigations at the site of the two incidents.
