Amina Omer: Despite difficulty of stage, people maintain AA project

The co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), Amina Omer, said, "The peoples of the region, by their resistance, were able to preserve the project of the Autonomous Administration despite the difficult circumstances they went through," confirming that the credit was for the people's unity and solidarity.

The Democratic Syrian Youth Council organized a meeting with the participation of dozens of young people in al-Hasakah canton, to explain the latest political developments in northern and eastern Syria. The meeting was attended by the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council Amina Omer and the Joint Vice-President of the Syrian Democratic Council, Gabriel Chamoun.

During the meeting held at al-Nukhba (The Elite) Restaurant in al-Hasakah, the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omer, delivered a speech saying, "The Turkish state attacked our people with all heavy weapons and started targeting the safe and inhabited villages and cities, all in order to intimidate the people and displace them to other regions, which caused the killing of hundreds of civilians and displacing hundreds of thousands."

Amina continued her speech saying, "The global countries concerned with the crisis turn a blind eye to the humanitarian catastrophe in the event of the Turkish occupation's implementation of its entire plan for demographic change, as it is following that by using the power of weapons, systematic intimidation, forced displacement of people, and the distribution of the civilians’ properties to the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation.”

Amina Omer confirmed, "Despite all the difficult circumstances the region has gone through, the peoples managed to preserve the project of the Autonomous Administration thanks to unity, solidarity, resistance, and the sacrifices made for that."

Omer continued, “We are ready for dialogue with the Syrian regime, and we also have two basic requirements, which are the recognition in the constitution of the Autonomous Administration and the SDF, and the consideration of SDF as national forces that have fought terrorism.”

At the end of her speech, the joint head of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omer, said, "The role of the youth in this movement and their joining to military and political movements must be highlighted, in addition to supporting the SDF because they are the only forces that protect the rights of the people.”
