The Turkish attack resulted in the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people from Serêkaniyê region and other border areas to the safer areas. As a result, the Autonomous Administration in the city of al-Hasakah has allocated more than 64 centers for the forcibly displaced, along with the Washokani camp located 12 km west of the city center of al-Hasakah.

More than 800 families of more than 4 thousand displaced people live in Washokani camp, including 442 patients inside the camp. This burden falls on the Democratic Autonomous Administration DAA of NE, Syria and the Kurdish Red Crescent to provide all assistance and supplies to the displaced in the absence of international organizations.

The Kurdish Red Crescent Organization considers the only organization that operates within the camp, and provides all the supplies according to its capabilities for the displaced, most notably the medical supplies and the provision of first aid and medicines to the sick and free of charge, through its medical point that was established in the camp since its opening.

The medical point of the Kurdish Red Crescent consists of several clinics which are "children, women and the interior", in addition to the ambulance room located in schools for 24 hours in the camp.

Akram Barako, a member of the Kurdish Red Crescent, confirmed that he started his work in the camp since the first of November. The number of patients treated by the Kurdish Red Crescent and provided them with medical assistance reached 918 cases.

Akram Barako noted that the Kurdish Red Crescent is currently studying the establishment of a field hospital inside the camp, and is currently awaiting the location of the hospital to start working there.
