With the beginning of the Turkish invasion on NE, Syria, the populated neighborhoods of Qamishlo city had been bombed by the Turkish occupation army, causing to stop the continuation of the education process in Rojava university.

The Administrator University of Rojava, Gulstan Sido, talked about the conditions of the university and the progress of the educational process and the negative impact of the Turkish invasion on the educational program, because of the Turkish attack, the educational process and the educational program at the university were adversely affected,” the students were unable to reach the university and the school was completely stopped. "

Gulstan Sido noted that the university administration held an emergency meeting after the situation eased somewhat.  The meeting resulted in a number of decisions, including the resumption of work at the university as of November 7, but the security situation prevented the arrival of many students living in Shahba.

“The educational system at Rojava University has evolved, and new departments and faculties have been added, including the Faculty of Language, Arts and Social Sciences, as well as the Engineering and Translation Institutes. In the future, we seek to open a center for university resources. But we are concerned about the dangers and threats to the educational process, if a new war breaks out, all students will be denied their studies.

“The suspension of university attendance has negatively impacted our university studies. As students of Rojava University, we are ready to perform our duties and defend our country,” she said.
