The practices of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries continue in the several occupied areas, in this context, ANHA held a meeting with the jurist in the Office of Social Justice in the canton of Afrin Mohammed Saeed, who documented the crimes of the Turkish occupation.

Turkey committed war crimes

At the beginning of his speech, Mohammed Saeed said that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have committed many war massacres and violated international laws since the beginning of their attack on northern and eastern Syria, especially in the cities of Serêkaniyê and GIRÊ SPî/ Tel-Abyed

Saeed pointed out that the Turkish army used internationally prohibited weapons against the people of this region, and targeted medical staff transporting the wounded and wounded, in addition to targeting hospitals and medical points, in addition to direct targeting children and women.

Why international silence?

Saeed expressed regret at the international silence and the international organizations that commit these crimes before their eyes and documented through cameras.

"It is regrettable that the crimes and violations against Syrians continue indefinitely and in front of the eyes of international organizations that have become partners in the shedding, killing and displacement of the Syrian people in Kurds, Arabs, Syriac and Assyrians, and support on the hands of tyrants to complete the series of crimes."

Mohammed Saeed explained that the Turkish occupation violates international laws in all areas occupied by Jarablus, al-Bab, Azaz and Idlib, "In Afrin, the Turkish occupation army forced the indigenous people to forcibly emigrate despite persistent demands by the bodies and civil society organizations to stop these violations and massacres, which are repeated daily throughout Afrin."

"What international law permits the displacement of the inhabitants of the region to settle others in their place?"

Mohammed Saeed drew attention to the hypocrisy of the United Nations and organizations claiming humanity and wondered "Is it conceivable that 300,000 indigenous people would be displaced to resettle others in their homes as a safe area? What international law permits such practices? Is it conceivable that 70,000 children will be displaced from Serêkaniyê and GIRÊ SPî/ Tel-Abyed, according to UN agencies, without childhood organizations moving? Is it reasonable to bomb a country that wants to promote peace and create a safe zone?"

The jurist Mohammed Saeed expressed his disappointment with the visit of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to Turkey and his meeting with Erdogan, who violated all international laws that Guterres claims to protect. "Unfortunately, international organizations have become captive to political decisions and move according to the interests of the superpowers and behind their material interests and the application of devastating political agendas on the peoples of the region," he said.

Saeed said that the survival of international organizations and the United Nations in this case will lead to loss of credibility and said that the United States and NATO fought Iraq under the pretext of chemical weapons, but Turkey bombed Serêkaniyê with white phosphorus and there is evidence of this, but the international community remains silent and the Organization for the Prohibition of Weapons refuses to investigate the use of these weapons Internationally prohibited.

"What has been happening in Syria since 2011, the killing of hundreds of thousands of people and the displacement of millions confirms the inability of international organizations to find solutions to crises," said Mohammed Saeed.
