Bashar al-Assad pointed out that the Russian-Turkish agreement on the north of Syria was temporary and curbed the Turkish ambition to achieve more damage by occupying more Syrian territories.

Regarding the agreement between the SDF and the Syrian army, Bashar al-Assad said, "Yes, the agreement has been reached and the Syrian army has reached most areas, but not fully. There are still obstacles to emerge. The Kurds in most of them have always been in good relations with the state and put forward real national ideas, and we have a direct relation with SDF even before the last situations."

Bashar al-Assad noted that Erdogan was aiming at the beginning of the war to create a problem between the Syrian and Turkish peoples. He continued, "The Turkish army used to support the Syrian army in the beginnings of the war, and used to cooperate with us, but Erdogan turned against it, so it is possible to work in this trend, taking care that Turkey to not an enemy country. Now Erdogan and his group are enemies because he is leading these policies, but so far the political forces in Turkey are mostly against the policies of Erdogan, we must be careful not to turn Turkey into an enemy."

Al-Assad said, "When the Turkish regime does not come out by all means, there will be no choice but war."
