YPG arrested 4 mercenaries, eliminated 2 in Deir-ez-Zor
YPG said that the Anti-Terrorism Units (YAT) carried out 3 operations against the mercenaries sleeper cells of the Daesh mercenaries resulted in arresting of 4 mercenaries and killing 2.
The Media Center of YPG issued a written statement in its official website on the operations carried out by YAT in Deir ez-Zor and al-Shadadi of al-Hasakah canton against the mercenaries of Daesh.
The statement stated:
YAT continue its campaigns to eliminate the sleeper cells of Daesh, where they carried out 3 operations between September 02-09 in Deir ez-Zor and al-Shadadi and managed to arrest 4 mercenaries of high ranks in the Daesh's mercenaries and 2 mercenaries was killed in that operations.
The follow is the details of the operations carried out by YAT:
On September 02 the troops carried a special operation against a sleeper cell in Deir ez-Zor area targeted a commander of Daesh and the financial operations official called MA where he was arrested and many documents and evidences have been confiscated.
On September 06 a unit of YAT raided a home in Deir ez-Zor where the commander of Daesh (Khalef Ali al-Bashiri was hiding and a weapon of AK-47 confiscated, in addition to arrest 2 of mercenaries and a quantity of military equipment was confiscated.
On September 09, the YAT units carried out an operation targeting a sleeper cell of Daesh of the Iraqi nationality the cell was of 2 mercenaries were stationing in a house in al-Shadadi area where they have been killed in the operation.
In the recent successful operations carried out by the YAT which targeted the sleeper cells number of terrorist operations were thwarted and a number of cells was neutralized where those operations would continue till eliminating the terrorism.
