"We salute Leyla Guven's resistance, demand lifting isolation on Ocalan"

The parliamentarian of the Democratic Peoples' Party (HDP) Leyla Guven continues her hunger strike, which entered 172 days consecutively, in addition to dozens of her comrades who have been on hunger strike all over Kurdistan and abroad, demanding to lift the isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Hawar news agency's correspondents met with a number of Afrin residents to discuss the resistance made by Leyla Guven and her comrades to lift the isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The citizen Kawa Mohammed said, "Leyla Guven's resistance is a historic resistance for us, and this is a historic step for the Kurdish people in general. As Afrin residents, we support the resistance of Leyla Guven and her comrades who are on hunger strike and decided to stay on the strike till the death in order to lift the isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali prison."

In her turn Leyla Badri said, "We congratulate the resistance of Leyla Guven and her comrades who are on hunger strike in Turkish prisons to all the martyrs of freedom, the Kurdish people and the leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan."

It is worth mentioning that the MP of the Democratic Peoples' Party and the member of the Democratic Society Conference Leyla Guven began a hunger strike on 8 November 2018.
