Girgê Legê hunger strike concluded with pledging to free Ocalan

In Girgê Legê area, the hunger strikers concluded their strike by delivering a statement to the public, pledging to continue supporting Laila Guven and Nasser Yagiz until they reach their goals.

In solidarity with parliamentarian Leila Guven, who entered the 104th day demanding the end of the isolation of leader Ocalan, the Kongra Star in Girgê Legê held a hunger strike under the slogan "In the spirit of prison resistance, we will break the isolation" with the participation of 102 protesters.

The three-day hunger strike continued with the arrival of people from Girgê Legê, Çilaxa, Tel Koçer, Dêrik as well as members and administrators of civil society organizations.

On its final day, the event ended with hunger strikers releasing a statement to the public. It was read by Aisha Al-Ahmad.

The statement reads as follows:

"Leader Ocalan was put under severe isolation in Imrali prison and entered his 21st year, so we say in the spirit of prison resistance, we will break the isolation and on this basis, we began the hunger strike through the resistance of Leila Guven, whose voice resonates around the world.

The statement condemned the international conspiracy against the leader of the peoples Abdullah Ocalan and said, we pledge ourselves with the support of Leila Guven and Nasser Yagiz until reaching our goal of achieving the freedom of leader Apo.

The statement concluded by appealing to all the people to participate in all activities and events to break the isolation of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The hunger strike ended with slogans saluting the resistance of Leila Guven and Nasser Yagiz.
