Pompeo to Fox News: We will protect our allies who fought IS with us

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Alluded that US and Turkey put plan to ensure the Syrian Kurds to be safe after withdrawing US, without further details.

Pompeo said during interview with him saying: president Trump was obvious about his expectations, how we will protect the Kurds after US military pullout."

And added "we appreciate their fighting IS alongside us, it was good job and necessary, we will work seriously the Kurds be in safe and good position after pull out us."

On December 2018, Donald Trump has announced that US plans to pull out its troops from Syrian territory, which estimated their number about 2000 US soldiers.

And added" I have made a lot of discussions. I think we are advancing in our negotiations with the Turkey government.  

In response to a question posed by the US station on the offensive IS on US forces in North Syria during the past ten days, Pompeo suggested that the US forces will remain in Syria for some time.

Pompeo said: In Syria, Trump has taken a tactical decision, we will pull out 2000 of US soldiers regularly from this country, but let's not make a mistake: IS Caliphate is nearing total defeat in Syria, but we will stay till defeated IS completely.
