'Turkey would not reach its goal'

On Saturday, hundreds of people from Tal Hamis district bid farewell the corpse of the fighter Ammar Khanjer (Zana) who was martyred in the battle to defeat terrorism in Deir ez-Zor on December 29. In the funeral ceremony, the participants said that Turkey would not reach its goal.

At the ceremony, the member of Martyrs' Families Council in Tal Hamis Mohammed Khleiwi said, "The martyr Ammar Khanjer sacrificed his life for our freedom and dignity, and Turkey would not reach its goal."

The commander in the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) al-Haj Ahmed al-Kiret delivered a speech and said, "We pay tribute to the souls of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in order to live a dignified life."

After the end of the speeches, the co-chair of Tal Hamis District Council Saleh al-Khalaf read the martyrdom document and handed it over to the family of the martyr. In the end, the body of the martyr was buried in Tal Hamis in the Martyrs' Shrine amid chanting the slogans that glorify the martyrs.
