Fierce battles in west of Aleppo

After the failure of the Turkish promise to the Russians and the Syrian regime in the 9th Astana Agreement and the signing of the resolution, the mercenaries withdrew from the areas north-west of Aleppo. They agreed to annex these factions to the so-called moderate groups and to agree on the disarmament zone. Because of the violations by the mercenary factions, Turkey lied again and wanted to expand its geography through the mercenaries of Hayet Tahrir al-Sham and the seizure of the positions of Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement.

Turkey was working to remove Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement from the areas west of Aleppo and heading them to Afrin canton at a time when the forces of the Syrian regime were preparing for the campaign to liberate the areas of western Aleppo.

Since Friday, there have been clashes between the mercenaries of the Euphrates Shield and other groups of mercenaries at al-Ghazawiya crossing in Afrin city which links the areas of Hayet Tahrir al-Sham to the areas of the Euphrates Shield which have been previously controlled by a group of al-Zenki Movement.

The battles coincide with bombing Hayet Tahrir al-Sham with the cannons of Sama'an Castle and the village of Basufan that belongs to Sherawa district of Afrin canton to control it.

While the Syrian air force launched on Friday evening raids on the sites of the Hayet Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhet al-Nusra) and targeted the barriers of al-Ghazawiya in conjunction with the clashes.

According to sources of ANHA agency, the mercenaries are withdrawing from the villages of Mareska and Meryamin towards Kafer Jannah and Azaz because of the attempts of Hayet Tahrir al-Sham to enter and control the area.

The source said that the forces of the Syrian regime are preparing to start a campaign from the western countryside of Aleppo to Idlib if the fighting and the advance of Hayet Tahrir al-Sham would continue in more new areas.
