Manbij residents continue to reject Turkish threats

Hundreds of people from al-Hazawneh neighborhood in Manbij held a sit-in under a tent erected by the residents in the neighborhood to denounce the Turkish violations on the Syrian lands, rejecting the threats that target northern and eastern Syria.

In addition to the residents of the neighborhood, members of the Civil Administration institutions and members of the Women's Council also participated in the sit-in.

During the sit-in organized by the residents, many sit-inners participated with their speeches, the first was of the co-chair of the Executive Council in Manbij and its countryside, Mohammed Khair Shikho, who focused on the great confidence of the council in its military forces (Manbij Military Council's forces), and the great role of the people to deter any external interference in the city.

He also referred to the efforts made by the Democratic Civil Administration in Manbij to reach a political solution with various parties.

For his part, the co-chair of the Self-Protection Committee Qassem Remo joined the protesters and spoke about the need for solidarity and cohesion, and said, "At first we have to trust our military forces and political administration to reach safety because they are the only ones who can protect and manage the region more than any other party."

Furthermore, the activity of the sit-in still continues.
