Koçer: Aggression targets democratic project

Hundreds of people from Afrin and al-Shahba cantons bid farewell two martyrs of People's Protection Units(YPG), Serdar Afrin, the real name Omar Hassan, who was martyred on 28 December, and the martyr Welat Afrin, the real name Hanif Rasho who was martyred on 29 December while performing his duties in Aleppo.

The funeral ceremony began with holding a minute of silence then the member of Martyrs Families Council Hajer Meho delivered a speech and said "The martyrs are the foundation of building a free society, and the liberation of Afrin will be in the spirit and thanks of the martyrs."

The administrator of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) Hassan Koçer, explained that the martyrs are dignity and honor. He pointed out that their resistance during 8 years and the establishment of a revolution and a democratic system was thanks to the martyrs. Today the Turkish state is visiting foreign countries to strike the democratic project in the Syrian north, the attack on northern and eastern Syria is an attack on the unity and freedom of peoples. "
