Gharib Hesso from Kobanî: People's will to triumph

Condemning the Turkish threats to launch a military operation to occupy the areas in northern and eastern Syria, the people of the region continue to organize the sit-ins on the border between North Kurdistan and North and East Syria, challenging the difficult circumstances to express their rejection of the occupation.

In Kobanî, the sit-in tent which was erected in Qera Mugh village continues in its eighth day. On Tuesday, the districts' councils of Kobanî city took part alongside dozens of residents of the region with all components in the activities of the sit-in.

The co-chair of the Executive Committee of the Democratic Society Movement Gharib Hesso is participating in the activities as he delivered a speech during his participation in the sit-in where the people of the region stood against the threats of Turkey which targeted the democratic nation's project and the solidarity of the peoples of the region.

Gharib Hesso stressed that standing the peoples of the region, which are human shields, indicates the strong will and resistance towards any aggression and adherence to the values of the martyrs, land and dignity.

He added, "We are ready to overcome all the difficult stages for the success of the system based on the foundations of democracy and free will to fight and resist."

He denounced the practices of the occupation in Afrin destroying, looting and vandalizing, and explained that the aim is to hit the gains of the democratic revolution of the peoples, and create sedition among the peoples of the region.
