People of Manbij: We are ready to defend our land against occupiers

Recently, the Turkish state has increased its threats to launch attacks against the people of northern and eastern Syria. This has provoked a wave of resentment and reaction by the people of the region. The people participated in demonstrations and sit-ins to denounce the Turkish threats.

Hawar News Agency met with a number of people from Manbij to talk about the subject, where the people stressed their readiness to defend their land .

The citizen Hussein Mohammed Ahmed said ,"We are here in Manbij living as a family in all its components with each other, so we do not accept Turkish intervention."

He added "We are ready to defend our land and even if the American forces withdraw, we are here and our sons will stay here. America has entered the area for a short time, but we have been here since history."

The citizen Mahmoud Abdullah said ,"we are against any threat or occupation of our area because we are always with peace, security and stability."

The citizen Ibrahim al-Setaf said, "At this stage people must stand against the occupation aimed at occupying our territory, whether the Turkish occupation or other."

He added "We, people of Manbij, are ready to take up arms to protect our land against the occupiers."
