A delegation from the International Coalition visited water stations and schools in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor to learn about these sectors.

The International Coalition accompanied by the co-chair of Deir ez-Zor Civil Council Ghassan Yousef, the engineer in charge of water and irrigation Ahmed al-Ali and a number of administrators in the centers of the Education Committee in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor carried out an inspection tour to find out the reasons for the interruption and stopping of the water project of pumping. The delegation also continued its tour in the schools in al-Basira city to look at their reality and the obstacles they face.

The International Coalition officials promised to provide the needs to reform and develop these sectors. During its tour of the water station, it met with the water engineer in charge of the station, inquiring about the cessation of drinking water pumping. The engineer Ahmed al-Ali said that the generator of the station has been broken down for months due to a malfunction in the generator engine.

Ahmed al-Ali said that the station supplies al-Basira town and several villages in the eastern countryside with drinking water.

The Coalition's delegation said that they would support the teaching sector in the area and the rehabilitation of schools in al-Basira town.
