Peace Program Director: Turkey violated international conventions, change demography of Afrin

After the speech of co-chair of the Constituent Council of Democratic Federation of North Syria HadiyaYousef, the first axis of the forum of Ethnic Cleansing and Demographic Change practiced by the Turkish state and its mercenaries in Afrin is centered around the dangers of the political aspect of ethnic cleansing and demographic change in Afrin.

In this context, David Philip said that they appreciated the integrity and honesty of the administration in Rojava and North Syria, and thanked Kouchner who has long stood by this experience.

Philip pointed out that he came as he is interested in the pioneering experience in Rojava, to make the people of Rojava aware that they are not alone, and to remind the world of the massacres committed against the people of the area. This democratic experience and the freedom of women is important for Syria and the world. And added, "We will continue to struggle to raise people's awareness about this place. We must not give up to injustice or undermine our will."

And David Philip said that what happened in Afrin was a crime against humanity in Afrin, "We must transfer images even through movies, show them to the world to know the struggle here. What happened was the responsibility of the Syrian government and it must conduct investigations of these crimes, as they are violations of the Syrian sovereignty. If it is unable to protect its sovereignty, there will be a role for the European partners. The Council of the European Union is capable of conducting investigations about this and the Security Council must intervene. the United Nations Organizations can intervene. There is a need for eyewitnesses and the collection of pictures, videos and documents in addition to documenting what is happening in Afrin.

Philip suggested that the Syrian North Administration to open a museum about the mass massacres committed against them and attract the attention of the media.

Philip said that the Turkish occupation has killed dozens of Afrin residents, and this is considered a violation against the Convention and Article 39, violation of the physical and moral rights and a violation of the articles of the United Nations.

Philip confirmed that he gives his voice to live testimonies from Afrin and Turkish violations that targeted doctors, journalists and civilians. He considered them systematic practices of Arabization of the Kurdish areas of Afrin, where many people were forced to convert to Islam and go to mosques.

And added, "I raise my voice and I say that Turkey is a terrorist state, it systematically commits crimes, and the people of Rojava defend themselves, have principles and must be recognized. Local authorities in Rojava must start collecting information and documenting victims' stories."

At the end of his speech, David Vibels said, "The Kurds must be free from all the occupying countries of Kurdistan in its various parts. The Kurds have a lot to offer to the world. We have evidence about your sacrifices that must not be forgotten. We make this speech globally and heard by everyone."
