Rezan Gilo: My priorities will be community service

Rezan Gilo, who was appointed civil affairs adviser to the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), said that one of the priorities of his new job is to serve the community.

He works as Civil Affairs Adviser at the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Rezan Kalo has served in various positions since the beginning of Rojava revolution, At the beginning of the formation of the councils in Rojava in 2011, Rezan Gilo was elected as the general coordinating member of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM). After the declaration of Democratic Autonomous Administration in al-Jazeera region on the 20 of January 2014, Rezan Gilo took to work as head of the affairs of the families of martyrs and after changes brought out in autonomous administration. On April 1, 2016, Rezan Gilo was appodnted as the Co-chair of the Defense and Self-Defense Body in al-Jazeera region and played a major role in building the Defense and Self-Defense Forces.

After Gilo completed his term in Democratic Autonomous Administration DAA in al-Jazeera canton four years as Co-chair of the Defense and Self-Defense Body and the Martyrs Families' Bod, Rezan Gilo decided to resign because he has completed two terms in the Democratic Autonomous Administration bodies in al-Jazeera canton.

After the Democratic Autonomous Administration in al-Jazeera canton agreed to the resignation of Rizan Gilo, based on discussions between him and the general command of the Syrian Democratic Forces, according to the experience obtained by Rezan Gilo from his work in Democratic Autonomous Administration bodies. The General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces appointed Gilo as the Civil Affairs Adviser to the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Hawar news agency (ANHA) held interview with the Civil Affairs Adviser at the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF, Rezan Gilo said, "I will work in my new work on the struggle within Syrian Democratic Forces to be a basic and effective force in Syria and be a force to maintain security and safety in northeastern Syria."

He stressed that one of the priorities of his new job will be community service, the struggle for the liberation of Afrin, and the advancement of the civil level in north and east Syria.

Rezan Gilo was arrested three times by the Syrian regime's security services at various times because of his struggle for the Kurdish cause.
