"Turkey targets voice of truth wherever it is "

The Turkish occupation state, as usual, targets the gains of Rojava and northern Syria, and Serê Kaniyê area from the areas that are constantly exposed to target the Turkish state, where Turkey's attacks include underground water and above the ground is targeting the population as it targets Radio Washokani.

Radio Washokani local radio Serê Kaniyê area was opened on February 28- 2014 and broadcasts its programs  15 hours a day in Arabic and Kurdish and 15 members operate in it.

Frequency changed due to attacks

The Turkish state, for nearly a year, has been targeting the radio station of  Washokani, especially in the last three months. At first, the radio was broadcaingst on the frequency 89.7, but because of the occupation’s atempt to confuse the frequency, the frequency was changed a week ago. Before the change in frequency, the broadcast was reaching Serê Kaniyê city and the city of Kania Ghazalan Bakkur Kurdistan, but after a change in frequency the area expanded to reach the transmission to include the cities of Serê Kaniye , Kania Ghazalan villages , Zarkan and Tel Tamar.

Lillouz pointed out to the diversity and variety of components in Serê Kaniyê and said," The Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs and Armenians lived in Serê Kaniyê, there is a need a radio that reflects the culture of all the components, so we say that Radio Washokani is the voice of the democratic nation. İt broadcasts social, cultural and political programs, on women's activities, and news programs where we deliver the voice of truth to our people. "

"We will respond to attacks by strengthening and developing our work"

Lillouz  said ,"the Turkish state is launching attacks on the gains of the people in Rojava in all fields," adding, "no matter how the Turkish occupation state launched attacks, we to respond more strongly, when it targeted the frequency of our radio, it was replaced by a better frequency and we developed more work. "No matter how much Turkey launches attacks on the voice of truth, we will respond by strengthening and developing our work and we will resist the attack."

It is noteworthy, that the authority of the Justice and Development Party(AKP) has closed a number of media outlets, such as television stations, radio and news agencies in Bakur Kurdistan and Turkey, which exposed the AKP practices on various pretexts. Its media practices and attacks have also targeted Rojava, where in 2017 they attacked Radio Rojava headquarters in Qarajox mount, killing a number of radio workers.
