Celebrating PYD’s establishment anniversary in Kobanî

In conjunction with the 15th anniversary of establishing the Democratic Union Party (PYD), the party organized a celebration in Kobanî city under the slogan, “With the Resistance of the Age’s spirit, we salute the 15th anniversary of PYD’s institution.”

Hundreds of the Euphrates region’s residents participated in the celebration that was organized by PYD in conjunction with the anniversary of its establishment at the Marty Agîd Square in Kobanî city.

The celebration started with holding a minute of silence. It was followed by the speech of the co-chair of the party Shahoz Hassen who welcomed all the participants and the martyrs’ families and congratulated everybody on the 15th anniversary of the party’s establishment. Shahoz Hassen praised the struggle of the party that has been ongoing since its formation till now.

The co-chair of the party Aisha Hesso also delivered a speech saying, “We continue our struggle against the occupation on the land of resistance, Afrin. We will liberate our homeland with the spirit of the Resistance of the Age. Aisha Hesso added, “On behalf of PYD, we promise to make true the martyrs’ hopes.”

The celebration ended by presenting songs by Botan Band, and folkloric dancing performances by the Martyr Zilan Band. The celebration ended with dancing in rings.
