Iraqi forces prevent people of North Syria from reaching Şêngal

Iraqi forces stopped the convoy of the people of North Syria, who went this morning to Şêngal to participate in the funeral ceremony of the member of the Yazidi community coordinator Zaki Şêngali, and prevented them from continuing their march towards Şêngal.

On Saturday morning, a convoy of thousands of people from North Syria marched to Şêngal to participate in the funeral of Yazidi community coordinator Zaki Şêngali

After the people of North Syria crossed the border between Rojava and Şêngal, one of Iraqi roadblock stopped the procession of the people of North Syria and prevented them from continuing their march towards Şêngal.

ANHA agency correspondents accompanying the procession reported that hundreds of buses and cars were now parked in front of the Iraqi forces checkpoint, while the residents complained that they would continue their march to Şêngal.

During a conversation with Iraqi forces, the troops said the convoy was stopped on instructions from Baghdad.

It is noteworthy that a coordinator member of the Yazidi community Zaki Şêngali was martyred on the impact of the bombing of the Turkish occupation army planes to Şêngal on the 15th of August.
