3 mercenaries, including leader killed in YPG operations in Afrin

The media center for People's Protection Units announced of the killing of three mercenaries of the Turkish occupation army during a series of military operations targeting the bases and headquarters of the occupation and its mercenaries in a number of areas in Afrin, bringing the death toll of mercenaries and Turkish soldiers to 2,541 people during the Resistance of the Age.

The media center of the People's Protection Units (YPG) issued a statement on Tuesday in connection with the operations carried out by the units’ fighters under the second phase of Resistance of the Age, against the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation army in Afrin, killing a number of mercenaries.

The text of the statement is:

"Within the framework of the second phase of the resistance in Afrin, our units carried out a series of military operations targeting the bases and headquarters of the occupation and its mercenaries in a number of areas in Afrin, where a number of mercenaries were killed.

On 28 July, our fighters infiltrated one of the headquarters of the mercenaries of Sultan Murad in Shera district and clashed face-to-face with the mercenaries. Two mercenaries were killed and another was seriously injured.

Our fighters also carried out a sniper attack on one of the leaders of the mercenaries of Failaq al-Sham on the rank of battalion leader on the road leading to the Janders district, where the mercenary was killed immediately and the operation was videotaped.

Thus, the number of mercenaries and Turkish soldiers killed by our units during the fighting in Resistance of the Age has increased to 2,541. "
