ANHA correspondent was able to reach the citizen Faik to report what happened to him within 15 days of his stay in Afrin.

Like other citizens, he went to Turkey to work there, where he worked throughout his stay in Turkey, he was unable to return to Afrin as a result of the strikes, killings and arrests that took place on the border between Afrin and Bakur (south Kurdistan).

After the Turkish occupation army occupied Afrin city on 18 March, the Turkish state media began to promote that Afrin was safe and stable, contrary to the status quo, and this is what deceived many of the people of Afrin, and returned to Afrin to be kidnapped by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

Faik told his story of what he lived in 15 days in Afrin

He said: "I went from Turkey to Bab al-Salama crossing point in Azaz area, and as soon as I arrived in Afrin, the mercenaries took my bag, I was wearing only my clothes, I went to the house of one of my relatives in Afrin, two days later the mercenaries had abducted me, I remained in the prison for four days, and I could not find out the place, the prison was full of Kurdish civilians, where torture and humiliation was carried out.

He pointed out that after the investigation, the mercenaries asked him for a ransom of 1200 US dollars for his release. "The money was paid to the Turkish occupation army's mercenaries, accusing the civilians with feeble pretexts to demand a ransom from them."

A distance of 20 km could not go to see his hometown

After the ransom, he was unable to reach his hometown of Janders which was 20 kilometers away from Afrin, to visit his relatives. "Afrin has become a nightmare. The Turkish army and its mercenaries are imposing heavy taxes on shop owners, not to mention the robbery of crops from the farmers.

Being a Kurd, he could not get a bundle of bread

"The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries are spreading strife between Arabs and Kurds in various ways "One day I went to the bakery to buy a bundle of bread. After the baker knew I am Kurd from the Kurdish component, he did not give the bread and said," go to the market to buy it. "

"If you decide to sleep, someone should guard you because the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries are indiscriminately raiding houses, not to mention live shooting at night to spread fear and panic among the people," he said.

After 15 days, he decided to leave Afrin

Faik decided to leave the city after being insulted and tortured by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, he said, "I paid a sum of 800 US dollars to the mercenaries to get out of Afrin canton, they had left me in Kimar village of Sherawa district, and then I walked to get to safety in another village in Sherawa district."

He is currently living in Fafin district of al-Shahba canton; he appealed to the residents not to return to Afrin canton because it is unsafe and not as promoted by the mercenaries and the Turkish occupation army through the media.
