To live a free life ... Sharvan said as he walked on the path of martyrdom

Many stories of struggle by the children of Rojava in their revolution have yet to be revealed, waiting for the cover to be revealed to give messages of resistance and to illustrate the features of history that are painted as each day of the revolution goes on.

Today, we are talking about the story of one of the martyrs of the revolution and its symbols, Abdel Rahim Hassowhose nom de guerre is Sharvan Hasakah  since the details of his struggle life bear within it the lessons and lessons we say, we will try to dig deeper into those details.

The spirit of responsibility has distinguished him since childhood

Abdul Rahim started his life career from Toli village belonging to al-Hasakah canton in al-Jazerra region  ,a brother of nine brothers (7 young men and 4 young women) who lived in Tel -Tamar town and moved to al-Hasakah city in 1980 to manage their life there.

At the age of 12 he began to work in the construction work, after leaving the study, and then go to compulsory service in the Syrian army at the age of 19 and after the end of the service worked with his siblings in Souq al-Hall (vegetable market).

The martyr Sharvan 's mother, Tarfa talks about her child and says that ",he was friend of all friends, left school, always helped his siblings to manage the house, ."

Joining to the revolution

While Abdul Rahim was busy working to support the family, the revolution of Rojava launched, one day to visit his sister and tell her that he wants to join the revolution.

Jaker, comrade of Darb Abdul Rahim, recalls that at the beginning of the establishment of People Protection Units (YPG), their work was secret, and that a group of them went to receive the training and returned, and no one knew.

AbdulRahim the fighter Whose nom de guerre is Sharvan after joining to the YPG) did not start his revolutionary journey with simple tasks. He sought to place himself in places that required more effort, so he joined the special groups called " Mobile Battalions", which were ready to go to anybattal.

He fights despite being injured

After joining the "Mobile Battalions", Sharvan participated in several battles against Jabhit al-Nusra, until the mercenaries attacked one of the points of concentration of People Protection Units(YPG) in Tel-Badir village The martyr Sharvan  and six of his comrades were present at that point. They fought the mercenaries in these clashes Sharvan was injured in his leg .

After 10 days of injury in his leg the war launched between of People Protection Units (YPG) and mercenaries of Jabhit al-Nusra  during al-Hasakah dam campaign . When Sharvan heard this, he was at home, quickly gathering his supplies and carrying his weapon to go. Despite his mother's opposition, Sharvan went to participate in those battles.

While he was fighting in the campaign said"When Kurdistan will be free to live a free and secure life, this revolution is an opportunity for us to rid ourselves of the injustice of the ruling regimes for hundreds of years. We must work to bring a great deal of young people into the revolution in order to get what we want."

His last mission

Since he was always on the battlefield, he returned to Sere Kaniya front to fight mercenaries of Jabhit al-Nusra , and while Sere Kaniya was newly liberated from Jabhit al-Nusra 's mercenaries , Sharvan was there to take part in protecting her from mercenaries who were not far from her.

On the night of 21 August 2013, mercenaries of Jabhit a-Nusra launched a retaliatory attack  against  People Protection Units (YPG)in Sere Kaniya , with the support of the Turkish government, which entered them through its border and from the border crossing was openly .

But a few hours before the attack, Sharvan and his companion Sarhad went on a mission near the border crossing, but landmines exploded, killing them instantly.

The next morning, strong clashes broke out between (YPG)and Jabhit al-Nusra 's mercenaries who failed in their attack. Riyad his comrade of Sharvan, says they did not know about the martyrdom of Sharvan and Sehad just before replled the attack.
