deaf family and the dilemma of getting a job!

Yassin's family arrived at Ain Issa camp north of al-Raqqa city after the fighting intensified in the countryside  of Deir –ez-Zor, searching for safe shelter .

Yassin Abdel-Khalil is 60 years old and the father of a family of 9 persons (5 young men and 2 women with mother and father) has been coming to Ain Issa camp for more than 8 months.

Family members lose their sense of hearing as they age, as five members of the family are now losing their hearing with their father and mother, and two young Yassin children are waiting for the same fate as other people.

The suffering of displacement has not been enough to increase Yassin's worries on a regular basis, accompanied by an illness that has changed his life to getting worse and opened the way to the difficulty of his living conditions.

Yassin suffers from a loss of hearing in his left ear, which is inherited by five of his sons but in the ears whose hearing gradually diminishes as they age.

The son of Yassin  Zaid (24 years) has heard him completely, and Emad, 18, hears people who speak with him only close. His son Mohammed, 9, and his sister, Maryam, 8 years old, are not young yet. the family.

Jihad, a 20-year-old member of the family, was severely weakened by his hearing difficulties. Ammar, 16, is no different. He is not heard either. Jihad, who has already applied alot of  jobs in the camp but all thses applied rejectedbeing not hear very well.

Family members have difficulty dealing with them because they do not hear each other, so gestures are used through hand gestures and sign language.

Hawar news agency interviwed father and said "My family inherited deafness from me. My physical condition is very weak. The Baathist regime, when it took control of our villages, took away everything we had, so we went out wearing only the clothes we wear. We can not go back to our villages," said Yassin Abdel Khalil, the father of the deaf family. As long as the Baathist regime controls it."

Yassin appealed to the concerned authorities and humanitarian organizations to help his family as they have no work to help them live.

Yassin called on "good people" to help provide hearing aids to his children, where he does not have the ability to buy them.
