Girê Sipî people bid farewell martyr Khalid Koti's corpse

The co-chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) Aisha Hessou, a number of members and administrators of the Democratic Union Party in Rojava and northern Syria, representatives of the Martyrs' Families Council, People and Woman's Protection Units (YPG-YPJ) fighters and hundreds of people from the Euphrates region attended the funeral ceremony.

In the Shrine, the funeral began with performing a military parade by the Self-Defense Duty fighters, and a number of speeches were delivered, including the speech of the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) Aisha Hassou, the administrator of the Martyrs' Families Council Aref Bali, the commander of the People's Protection Units Ali Sher Kobanî, the co-chair of the Democratic Autonomous Administration Sabi Hamdan al-Abed, and Fadel Ali Koti, the brother of the martyr Khalid Koti.

The speeches praised the great role played by martyr Khalid in Rojava Revolution and his struggle within the ranks of PYD.

The speeches also pointed out that the martyr Khalid was one of the political strugglers in North Syria, and worked and fought in all political, social and military fields in defense of his people and land.

The funeral ended by chanting the slogans which glorify the martyrs.
