Ceremony held for fighter martyred in Resistance of Age

An absentia ceremony was held in Serê Kanîyê city for the fighter in the ranks of Women's Protection Units (YPJ) Zozan Bozan, nom de guerre Burjîn Çiya who martyred on April 3 during her participation in the Resistance of the Age.

The ceremony was organized by the Martyrs' Families Council, and hundreds of Serê Kanîyê residents attended the ceremony which was held in front of Zozan's home in Ronahi neighborhood in Serê Kanîyê city as it started with holding a minute of silence. Then, the Martyrs' Families Council’s member Zahra Jassem delivered a speech and said, "Thanks to the sacrifices of the martyrs, we enjoy security and stability today, and with their sacrifices and following their footsteps, Afrin will prevail."

The martyr's father also delivered a speech and said, "No matter what we talk about, we will not redeem the martyrs, and we will not be able to express their sacrifices and resistance."

A member of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) Stera Reshik delivered a speech and said, "The sacrifices of the martyrs are the basis of the resistance approach that we are following today. This resistance which began in Serê Kanîyê city and is being consolidated today in Afrin and continues in North Syria surprised the entire world."

Furthermore, the ceremony ended with chanting the slogans which glorify the martyrs.
