YPG: 12 Turkish soldiers, mercenaries killed in 3rd week of April

The media center of the People's Protection Units (YPG) in Afrin revealed the outcome of the military operations of their units during the 3rd week of April in Afrin, in which 12 of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries were killed, dozens of them were injured and some military vehicles were destroyed, and that came during a statement that included:

"In the context of the military operations carried out by the People's Protection Units
(YPG) and Women's Protection Units (YPJ) in the second stage of the Resistance of the Age, at least 12 mercenaries and Turkish soldiers killed during the third week of April 2018, and the following is the detailed information on those operations accompanied by documented photos.

1. On April 17, 2018, one of our fighters carried out a sniper attack against a Turkish element called Tener Gobban Oglu in Afrin's center as he was killed immediately.

 Our fighters also carried out another operation in the center of Janders district, and another Turkish officer was killed. The Turkish army and its mercenaries launched combing operations in the city and its environs that ended in failure.

2. On April 17, 2018, our fighters carried out a bombing operation targeting a gang of mercenaries in Abu Ka’eb village in Janders as the mercenary in the ranks of the 23rd Division Saloum al-Hammadi was killed, and two others were seriously wounded.

3 – On April 18, 2018, our fighters carried out a bombing operation targeting a military point of the Turkish army who are stationed in Afrin city’s center, during which, 3 Turkish mercenaries were killed and 6 others were wounded.

4 – On April 19, 2018, our fighters carried out a bombing operation in Shiah district, and targeted a military vehicle that was carrying a gang of the mercenaries of al-Hamzah Division as it was destroyed, and during which a mercenary named Hussein al-Ali was killed and four others were seriously wounded.

5. On April 21, 2018, our fighters carried out a military operation against a gang of the mercenaries of Faylaq al-Sham on Ternda-Afrin road as two elements were killed during the operation, and their bodies were recovered by the mercenaries three days after the operation.

6 – On April 22, 2018, our fighters carried out a military operation on the road linked between Rajo-Afrin, during which three elements of al-Hamzah Division were killed. In addition to that, another mercenary was killed and two others got wounded in another operation of our units in the vicinity of Qaban Square in Afrin city’s center.

7. In parallel to that, the Turkish army and its mercenaries carried out a large-scale combing operation in the villages of Bulbul, Rajo and Janders districts and the surrounding of Afrin city with the support of more than 8 drones in the period between April 17 and 18, 2018.

8-During those operations, our units did not record any wounding in their fighters' ranks.

The statement assured that 2,420 of Turkish occupation army killed since the beginning of Afrin' attacks till Wednesday April 25.
