Various areas across Syria witnessed 12 crimes and security incidents yesterday, including assassinations and armed attacks in Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, Tal Abyad, and Homs.

Over the past hours, 12 crimes, security incidents, and simultaneous violations were recorded across different regions of Syria. These included armed attacks, assassination operations, and landmine explosions that resulted in child casualties, in addition to rising security tensions.

In the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside, an armed group attacked a checkpoint belonging to the security forces of the Syrian Interim Government in the city of Al-Busayrah. There is no confirmed information regarding casualties.

In the same city, unidentified gunmen targeted another checkpoint near the city bridge with direct gunfire, with no confirmed human losses reported.

In Raqqa, a member of the security forces affiliated with the Interim Government was killed in an attack targeting the Al-Sabahiyah checkpoint west of the city. The attacker was also killed, and an explosive belt and a personal firearm were found in his possession.

A member of the Ministry of Defense of the Interim Government was also killed after being shot while riding a motorcycle on the road leading to the village of Tash Bash, south of Tal Abyad.

In another incident, a man fired a handgun near Al-Dallah roundabout following a personal dispute, with no confirmed information about casualties.

In Homs countryside, a civilian was shot dead by unknown assailants near the “Al-Marwaha” checkpoint on the Damascus–Palmyra highway. He was originally from the town of Al-Susah in Deir ez-Zor countryside.

In the same city, a young Christian man complained of Christians being subjected to harassment and armed intimidation in the Al-Hamidiyah neighborhood, amid fears of escalating communal tensions.

In Damascus, posters bearing the phrase “They do not represent us” were placed in front of several churches, featuring images of Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Kabawat and Election Committee member Nawar Najmeh, in an incident that sparked controversy over its background.

Serious incidents caused by war remnants were also recorded. A child lost his life and another was injured in a landmine explosion in villages in the Al-Mayadin countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

In a separate incident, another child was injured in a landmine explosion in the village of Al-Akirshi in eastern Raqqa countryside and was transferred to a medical point for treatment.

Another child was also injured by a landmine explosion in the village of Al-Dibs in the Ain Issa countryside north of Raqqa, resulting in the amputation of his foot due to the severity of the blast.

On the 21st, various areas in Syria had already witnessed 11 crimes and security incidents, including assassinations, attempted killings, vehicular ramming, kidnapping, and armed attacks in Homs and its countryside, Raqqa, Suluk, Deir ez-Zor, and Qardaha, reflecting a dangerous escalation in violence and security instability.
