12 members of transitional govt. killed, injured in Deir ez-Zor countryside

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), three members were killed and nine others were injured when a military bus belonging to the Ministry of Defense of the transitional government in Syria was targeted with an explosive device on the main road between Deir ez-Zor and al-Mayadin, near the village of Sa’lu in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, which is under its control, 

The attack disabled the bus, while ambulances rushed to the scene to evacuate the wounded amid a heavy security deployment in the area. The SOHR noted that the death toll is likely to rise, as some of the injured are in critical condition.

The SOHR suggested that ISIS mercenaries were likely behind the attack, while the transitional government has not issued any comment on the incident.

It is worth noting that on October 2, an explosive device detonated on the Deir ez-Zor–al-Mayadin road near the intersection of the village of al-Toub, targeting a small truck carrying members of the 86th Division affiliated with the Ministry of Defense of the transitional government, resulting in the injury of two members who were transferred to al-Zain Hospital for treatment.
