12 armed individuals killed, injured after attacking Sheikh Maqsoud

Armed groups affiliated with the Damascus authority launched an attack on one of the positions held by the Sheikh Maqsoud Protection Forces. The protection forces and internal security forces repelled the attack, leading to clashes in which 12 members from the attacking group were killed or injured, while three members of the internal security forces and a civilian were wounded.

The clashes erupted after members affiliated with the Damascus authority attacked the positions of the internal security forces and the Sheikh Maqsoud Protection Forces, resulting in the death of 12 attackers and injuries to three internal security force members and a civilian.

ANHA correspondent from Aleppo reported on Sunday that armed individuals linked to the Damascus authority attacked the positions of the internal security forces and Sheikh Maqsoud Protection Forces in the Al-Awarid area, leading to injuries among three internal security members and a civilian.

The Sheikh Maqsoud Protection Forces and the internal security forces repelled the attack, which resulted in three hours of clashes, leading to the death and injury of 12 members affiliated with the Damascus authority.

After the Damascus authority's militants' attack was foiled, they sporadically fired at Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood until late at night.
