The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that 11 people were killed on April 17 in separate incidents across Syria. One civilian was killed during a shootout between two civilians due to a dispute in the village of Al-Jadidah in the southeastern countryside of Homs.

A young man died from injuries he sustained two days earlier after being shot in the village of Al-Suwaymira in the countryside of As-Suwayda.

A man was killed by direct gunfire from unknown gunmen who stormed his shop in the Jib Al-Jandali neighborhood in Homs city.

Two girls lost their lives when a landmine left over from the war exploded while they were in the Al-Salabikh area in the Palmyra desert, eastern Homs countryside.

Two members of the General Security affiliated with the Damascus authority were killed while attempting to illegally enter Lebanese territory. They were shot by unknown gunmen in the village of Akoum in the Homs countryside.

One person was killed by a landmine explosion left over from the war in the Wafideen Camp area in Douma, Damascus countryside.

A woman was shot dead by a relative due to a family dispute in the Burj Hama Hotel near Al-Assi Square in Hama city.

The decomposed body of a man was found in a residential building in the Bin Al-Alabi area of the Al-Salibah project in Latakia city. He had been strangled to death, and the perpetrators remain unknown.

A civilian from the town of Abu Hardoub was executed by ISIS sleeper cells, accused of practicing sorcery and witchcraft, and was shot dead in the Al-Marwaniyah area in eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside.
