The 10th PYD conference has just begun under the same slogan at the Serdem Hall in the city of Hasaka.

The conference coincides with the 21st anniversary of the party's founding.

Banners displayed in the conference hall read: "Liberation of Occupied Territories; Guaranteeing a Political Solution to the Syrian Crisis and the Unity of its Lands," "Our Party is the Party of Martyrs and Hard Work, and We Continue Our Struggle," "Martyrs are Our Moral Leaders, and They Are the Symbol of Eternal Life," "The Philosophy of 'Women, Life, Freedom' Ensures a Moral, Political, and Democratic Society," and "In the People's Revolutionary War, Every Individual Becomes a revolutionist, and Every Voice in the Field of Freedom is a Weapon."

Pictures of pioneering party martyrs, such as the martyr Shilan Kobani and her comrades Zakaria, Juwan, Fuad, and Jamil, who were martyred in 2004, were also displayed.

The conference is attended by 700 delegates from the party councils spread across different regions of North and East Syria, Aleppo, Damascus, and Europe.

The co-chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Avin Swed and Hussein Othman, the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Layla Qaraman, and the co-presidency of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), Ramziya Mohammed and Abdulsalam Mahmoud, were also present.

Additionally, representatives of civil, women’s gathering, and military organizations, Arab tribal leaders and elders, and heads and representatives of Kurdish, Arab, Syriac, and Assyrian political parties attended the conference.

The proceedings began with a moment of silence to honor the martyrs.

According to the preparatory committee, the conference will include speeches by the PYD Co-Chair Asya Abdullah, the Council of Martyrs' Families, the Autonomous Administration, and the Kongra Star women’s movement. Following this, congratulatory messages will be read, and a video summarizing the party's work will be shown.

The conference agenda also includes honoring the families of martyrs, reading reports from the party’s councils, and delivering directives from leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The conference will review and approve the party's internal regulations and elect members of the party’s General Council and a new co-chair

The PYD held its first conference with the participation of 175 delegates in the mountains of Kurdistan, leading to the founding of the party on September 20, 2003. After 21 years, the party has grown into a mass movement with a popular base of hundreds of thousands, according to a party official.

The conference is currently continuing with a speech by PYD Co-Chair Asya Abdullah.
