Preparing to hold a tribal meeting in NE, Syria
Preparations are being made to hold a tribal forum in North and East Syria, similar to the tribal forum organized in 2019, in which about 5,000 people are scheduled to participate, including tribal sheikhs, notables, and legal, social, and religious figures.

The Syrian Democratic Council, the Democratic Autonomous Administration, and the Syrian Democratic Forces are preparing to organize a forum for clans and social activities in Syria, according to Hussein Azzam, a member of the Preparatory Committee for the forum, and a member of the Relations Office of the Syrian Democratic Council.
The ongoing preparations include preparing the objectives of the forum, its interlocutors, and its guests, in addition to meeting with social activists, tribal sheikhs and notables, and legal persons, and researching invitations.
The Preparatory Committee is scheduled to hold a meeting tomorrow, Monday, to discuss the ongoing preparations.
According to the Preparatory Committee, an invitation will be sent to about 5,000 people, including sheikhs, tribal notables, and community, legal, and religious figures, from all components of the region.
A forum for the region’s clans was previously organized in the region, on May 3, 2019, under the auspices of the Syrian Democratic Council, in which more than 5,000 representatives of Syrian clans and tribes, representatives of civil society institutions, the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the North and East Syria region, and SDF participated.
A second forum was scheduled to be held in the region on November 20, 2022, and was postponed as a result of the Turkish attacks that affected the region extensively.
