Since March 25, 2021, the authorities of the Turkish occupation state have imposed absolute isolation on Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and prevented him from meeting with his lawyer and family, in the high-security Imrali Prison (F), which a number of political figures in North and East Syria spoke to ANHA's  agency about.

The Democratic Nation Project is the gateway to the solution to resolve conflicts in the Middle East

Member of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), Abdul Qadir al-Shaaban, explained: “The isolation imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan by Turkish fascism physically separated the leader from the people of the Middle East, eliminating the democratic nation project, which is a gateway to resolving conflicts in the Middle East.”

He stated: "Isolation is imposed on the leader in order to separate the people of the Middle East from the personality of the leader, but his ideas and philosophy that emerged from Imrali prison thwarted this plan, and the evidence of this is the success of the existing Democratic Autonomous Administration DAA in North and East Syria."

He said: "Implementing AA is the seed for solutions to complex crises in the Middle East."

Al-Shaaban affirmed: “The will of the people of the entire North and East Syria will end the isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan.”

The North and East Syria region is witnessing various daily activities demanding the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, the latest of which is the Popular Initiative for North and East Syria launching a campaign to collect signatures on February 9, to be delivered to the Council of the European Union.

Isolation is a heinous crime

In his turn, the administrator of the Democratic Union Party, Fadel al-Ahmad, highlighted the severe isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and said: “The isolation imposed on the leader for 25 years is still continuing, in a heinous crime devoid of the most basic elements of humanity, in Imrali prison.” In Lake Marmara, this isolation has been tightened for about 3 years, and humanitarian and human rights organizations remain silent.

They want to frustrate and weaken the will of the people, but they are wrong

Member of the Democratic Union Party, Fares al-Shit, stated: “The Turkish occupation authorities continue to impose strict isolation on the personality of Leader Abdullah Ocalan to separate him from his people, and to frustrate and weaken his will, but they are wrong. The leader made Imrali prison a beacon for generations, and we, the people of the North and East Syria, believe in thought and philosophy of the Leader Abdullah Ocalan."
