New request to meet with Leader Abdullah Ocalan
The Turkish authorities once again received a request from the lawyers of leader Abdullah Ocalan and his companions in Imrali prison to meet with their clients.
Leader Abdullah Ocalan's lawyers, Ibrahim Bilmaz, Imran Emekji, Cengiz Yurakli and Susan Akiba, submitted a new request to the Bursa Prosecutor's Office and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with him.
They also submitted a request to meet with Omar Hayri Kunar, Ali Kunar, Hamili Yildirim's brother, Polat Yildirim, and Veysi Aktaş's sister, Meliha Cetin.
The requests submitted by the lawyers and family of Leader Ocalan have been left pending without a response since March 2021.
Leader Abdullah Ocalan's last contact with the outside world was on March 25, 2021, during a phone call with his brother Muhammad Ocalan, which lasted less than 5 minutes, then the call was cut off.
Leader Abdullah Ocalan was arrested following an international conspiracy whose first threads began on October 9, 1998, when he left Syria heading to Moscow. He was arrested on February 15, 1999 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and handed over to the Turkish authorities.
